  • Billing information processed through Paddle (our payment processor)

Payment information itself is handled directly by Paddle and is not stored by Paperpin. We only receive transaction confirmation and subscription status information.

Paperpin automatically collects operational information necessary to provide the monitoring service, including:

  • Monitor execution data and run history
  • Change detection results and comparison data
  • Generated screenshots and snapshots of monitored pages
  • Notification delivery records and status

  • Browser and device information for authentication and security

This information is essential for delivering our core monitoring functionality and maintaining service reliability.

The information we collect is used to:

  • Provide monitoring services and detect website changes
  • Generate screenshots and comparison views
  • Deliver notifications through your configured channels
  • Maintain account security and prevent unauthorized access
  • Improve platform reliability and performance

4. Screenshots and Monitored Content

As a web monitoring platform, Paperpin captures screenshots and other monitoring data as part of the core service functionality. This includes:

  • Visual snapshots of monitored pages
  • HTML content and page structure
  • Extracted text and selected elements
  • Change detection artifacts and comparison data

These assets are used solely to provide monitoring, comparison, and notification functionality. Screenshots and monitoring data are stored for the duration necessary to deliver the service and maintain historical comparison records.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to monitor the content you configure. Paperpin provides the technical capability to monitor websites, but users must ensure their monitoring activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the terms of service of the monitored websites.

5. Third-Party Services

Paperpin relies on trusted third-party service providers to deliver and support our platform. These services may process your data as necessary to provide functionality:

  • Paddle - Payment processing and subscription management
  • Supabase - Authentication, database, and storage infrastructure
  • Vercel - Application hosting and delivery
  • Resend - Transactional email delivery
  • Google Gemini - AI-powered change analysis and insights

We select service providers that maintain appropriate security and privacy standards. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their specific services and in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Paperpin retains data for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on data type:

  • Account information is retained while your account remains active
  • Monitor data and screenshots are retained while monitors remain active or as configured by retention settings
  • Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
  • Logs are retained for operational and security purposes, typically between 30 and 90 days
  • Deleted account data is permanently removed within 90 days of account deletion

When you delete monitors or your account, associated data is scheduled for deletion according to our retention policies. Some information may be retained in backups for a limited period before permanent deletion.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction. Security measures include:

  • Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
