It was a Tuesday afternoon in March 2022. My mom called me, voice shaking. After thirty-two years of running her small bakery in Portland, she was thinking about closing down. Not because business was bad. Not because she was tired. But because of reviews.

We're Not a Full Marketing Platform

PaperPin focuses exclusively on reputation management. We don't do social media scheduling, email marketing campaigns, or SEO optimization. We do one thing really well rather than ten things poorly. If you need a comprehensive marketing suite, we're probably not the right fit.

We Can't Guarantee Five Stars

No tool can guarantee perfect ratings. What we can do is help you respond faster, more professionally, and more consistently. We can help you turn negative experiences into positive outcomes. But ultimately, your reputation is built on the actual experience you provide to customers.

We Don't Remove or Hide Negative Reviews

Some services promise to "bury" negative reviews or get them removed through questionable tactics. We don't do that. We believe in responding to legitimate criticism professionally and learning from it. If a review violates platform policies, we'll help you report it through proper channels.

We're Not Enterprise-Scale (Yet)

If you're managing 100+ locations or need white-label reselling capabilities, we're probably not sophisticated enough yet. Our sweet spot is one to ten locations. We're working on scaling up, but we want to maintain our focus on simplicity and usability.

We Won't Replace Human Judgment

Our AI is smart, but it's not you. For sensitive situations, complex complaints, or nuanced responses, you'll still need to review and approve before sending. We make it faster and easier, but we don't make it completely hands-off. That wouldn't be authentic.
